30 Days of...

Day 10!

Today when I woke up it was the chilliest it has been in a while!! After the summer of unbelievable hot temps we had in Texas, I truely thought we would never see cold weather ever again!! Ha!!

So, as I stepped out of bed I was thankful for warmth... 

The warmth of our home, our snuggly bed, the sight of our boys all tucked in snoozing away in their warm beds, and the warmth of these tacky, yet cute slippers...

Hahahahaa... I know they are Chewbaca meets a bottle of pink hair dye, but I love them!!! And today I was thankful for their warmth ;))

It's the little things, ya know?!?!

Day 9:

Today I am thankful for friendship...

Throughout my life I have been lucky to have many friends and friendships that have given me stregnth, taught me lessons, and made lasting memories!!  Friendship, to me, is a special gift that you choose in life, when so often you can't choose your situations or circumstances... you can always choose your friends!!

For me, being a friend is something I take pride in, and if I call you friend I will do everything in my power to be there for you whenever I can!! I can say with a thankful heart that God has blessed me with many friends along the way that have given this back to me and much, much more! Sadly, at times I have had some people in my life who have not given me this same extention in return... but I am thankful for it because it was a life lesson that I needed!! I found this quote on Pinterest that sums it up perfectly...

When you think of it that way, how else but thankful can you be!! 

I wish I had this framed somewhere during Jr. High...lol!!!

This sums up true friendship to me!! No matter the time, space, situation.. no matter what, if we are friends I am there for you and vice versa!!! 

For all those people out there that bless me every day by calling me friend, and who I get the awesome privledge of doing in return.. THANK YOU!! Your love, understanding, crazy times and memories mean the world to me!!!

30 Days of

Day 8...

Today I am thankful for Lysol spray, Clorox wipes, and mini trash can liners! Can you tell what is going around our house?!?! 

Our little guy got sick in the middle of the night and without those cleaning products my nerves would be even more shot than they already are!!! I am OCD about a lot of things... but I don't play when it comes to puke! I loathe it and avoid it at all costs!!!! When someone in our house gets sick I go into lock down mode and can't clean enough!!

So today, admst tired eyes, a sore back and cricked neck... I am thankful that I can clean and hopefully lessen the blow that is coming our way with this nasty strep/flu/stomach bug that we might have picked up!!!

I am also thankful that I was able to be there for my little man all night, no matter how tired I am today! I always thought my mom has super powers that made me feel better when I was growing up and got sick... in fact I still want to run to her when I don't feel well! And if I can give half the comfort to my boys that my mom gave to me, I will be one happy lady!

Bonus Thankfulness... 

Soooo glad that I don't have to tackle the pukage on my own in the middle of the night!! When I call out all panicked and crazed, I am beyond thankful that Shane is there to help :)))
